The 'story' that a windswept tree tells is that of a tree on a mountain or cliff, the tree has been buffeted by strong winds and only those branches on the leaward (downwind) side have survived.
The trunk should always be at an angle, never upright and may indeed
cascade
.
The branches on a windswept tree must all be on the same side
